Artist and photographer William Schmidt writes a stark confessional on facing mystery and coming of age in the world covered here, a world I shared to the very word. A remarkable remembrance of what it meant to be a boy. Seldom will you read a more blunt and direct "artist's statement" if you will, and yet his story is the story of millions. Schmidt describes unfortunate universal truths, and that he happens to refer to Vintage Sleaze the Blog and yours truly is certainly appreciated, but peripheral. This is essential reading to understand the terrors of youth, what shapes a man and the personal vision of artist.
