Obviously there is high art and low art. Can't get any lower than this site. But once in a while, the masters of the gutter produce a work which would meet any rigorous critical standard…even if they have to fit it in behind some boobs. Bill Ward does just that here, in 1959, with his rendition of Picasso's "Cupid on the Wall" (I made that up) in one of his famous series of "Telephone Girls" for Humorama. Now that I look at this, it seems Ward often drew things high.
The cover isn't bad either…note Halloween colors!
