When I was growing up, learning to smoke, play pool, drink and, um...grind, my school was the bowling alley a short walk from home. I got good enough at the pool tables to put a buck down once in a while, but the real attraction was a man named John Purdy who gave out ball racks, rang up the table total, looked away when I bought smokes from the machine and told the best jokes in the world. Mr. Purdy once told me "there are no new Jokes, every joke is an old joke." These books prove it.
